We are pleased to announce we have updated the Self-Determination Student Scale (SDSS) to provide more detailed feedback to participants and their teachers/advisors. The new SDSS provides students with an overview of the Action Model for Self-Determination as well as specific strategies they can use to improve in each of the areas assessed by the SDSS. The Self-Determination Adult Scale (SDAS) assesses knowledge, skills and beliefs that adults need to use to be more self-determined according to the Action Model for Self-Determination (Field & Hoffman, 1994; 2015). It also provides respondents with information about the Action Model and specific steps they can take to strengthen their self-determination competencies. It has been used in corporate training settings, wellness oriented groups and is suitable to be used in one to one services, such as coaching. To learn more about these new instruments go to http://www.longsdalepub.com.While you’re there check out their new Strategic Learning Assessment as well. The Strategic Learning Assessment is a new instrument developed by Mike Ealy, Sharon Field and Katie Brendli Brown to measure a wide array of skills associated with effective learning and includes a focus on self-regulation and management skills.
