As we all know, the turmoil we have experienced in the last two years has taken a huge toll on motivation and mental health. We need strategies to help students (and ourselves!) be successful in the new landscape. A few years ago, we had the opportunity to conduct research on the effectiveness of coaching for college students with ADHD. We found that it had a very positive impact on students’ self-determination, self-regulation and well-being. Coaching definitely offers tools that could be useful right now! Jodi Sleeper Triplett, coach trainer extraordinaire, designed the coaching intervention we examined in our research. She is now offering training specifically for higher education professionals who want to learn how to use coaching inspired strategies and communications in their work with all students, with or without disabilities.
